Every year on February 22, we take some time to commemorate the history of Scouts and thank the volunteers who make it possible.
This year our first #thanktwo goes to all the amazing young people who enjoy Scouting in our local community. Despite the last 12 challenging months where scouting has been different, you have all been truly amazing at sticking with us. You have still kept working through your badges and achieving your top awards, and therefore we are immensely proud of every one of you.
We cannot just thank all of our amazing young people without thanking all of our Parents, Carers and Guardians too. Thank you for everything you do to support and help your child or young person enjoy Scouting. Without you, they would not enjoy all of the activities that we have been up to over the last year through virtual scouting and continue to gain key and essential #skillsforlife. So this is our first huge #thanktwo to you all.
Our second #thanktwo on Founders Day goes to all of our amazing adult volunteers, which makes up our group. This last year has presented many new challenges due to Covid-19. Despite these challenges as a group, we have come together to ensure that everyday Scouting is available for all of our young people. We could not continue to deliver Scouting as a group without every one of our volunteers. You are all superstars, and we are proud to have you as part of team Winshill, so thank you!
